Throughout the day, Dr Sutton delivered a series of engaging and thought-provoking lectures exploring some of the most fascinating areas of modern Neuroscience. Students were introduced to topics such as the structure of neurons and the brain, the effects of addiction, biological rhythms and sleep, and theories of criminal behaviour. One of the day’s highlights was undoubtedly the sheep brain dissection, where students had the rare opportunity to observe and explore the intricate structures they had been learning about in class. This hands-on experience helped bridge the gap between theory and real-world science, sparking curiosity and lively discussion across the Sixth Form.
